Who we are

This website, ad-vantage.app, is run by APPLOAD Limited, trading as Syrup, the company that makes Vantage. In this policy, “we”, “us” and “our” mean Syrup.

We are the data controller for the personal data described in this policy.

What this policy covers

This policy covers this website and the demo form on it.

If you are a member of a brand's customer panel, the brand that invited you explains how your answers are used in its own privacy notice. We run Vantage on that brand's behalf and process panel data only on its instructions.

The data we collect

We only collect personal data when you choose to give it to us, plus the basic technical data any website needs.

• Demo form. Your name, work email and company, and if you choose to give them, your role, whether you have a marketing email database and roughly how many people are on it, and anything you write in the notes. We also record which page you sent the form from.
• Technical data. Our hosting provider records basic technical information, such as your IP address and browser type, to deliver the site and keep it secure.

How we use it

• To arrange your demo and answer your questions.
• To follow up with you about Vantage after the demo.
• To keep the site running and secure.

Legal bases

We rely on our legitimate interests in responding to business enquiries and running our business, and on taking steps you have asked us to take, such as arranging a demo. We do not use your details for anything you would not reasonably expect.

Cookies

This site does not use analytics or advertising cookies, and does not track you across other sites. Our fonts load from Adobe Fonts and Google Fonts, which receive your IP address when your browser requests them.

Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with the service providers that help us run the site and our business, who act on our instructions.

• Netlify, for website hosting and form submissions.
• Google Workspace, for the email account that receives demo requests.
• Adobe Fonts and Google Fonts, for the fonts on this site.

Some of these providers may process data outside the UK. Where they do, appropriate safeguards, such as UK-approved transfer mechanisms, are in place.

How long we keep it

We keep demo requests for as long as we need them to talk to you about Vantage, and for a reasonable period afterwards for our records. Then we delete them.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you have the right to access your data, to have it corrected or deleted, to restrict or object to its processing, and to data portability. To use any of these rights, email us at hello@madewithsyrup.com.

Complaints

If you have a concern about how we handle your data, please contact us first. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it last changed.
